Lakeland Contracting crane hire can lift & shift just about anything, from pallets, blocks, grapes, a small air con unit to frame trusses to boats we can move it for you safely and securely. All our crane operators are fully certified with National Certificate in Crane Operation Truck Loader Crane (Level 3) as well as Class 2 Load Pilot. With a reach of 17m and a 6.5 ton capacity (beside the deck) Lakeland Contracting can lift stuff in and out of tight spots. Oversize Pilot
Lakeland Contracting can provide fully certified class 1 and class 2 oversize load pilot services to get that unusually large or wide vehicle to it's destination on time and safely.
Load pilots play an important part in making sure that unusually large or wide vehicles travel New Zealand’s roads safely. They are responsible for warning other road users of an approaching vehicle, managing any problems and keeping any traffic delays to a minimum.
We have a team of experienced and knowledgeable Load Pilots, with well equipped pilot vehicles. Two vehicles can be used as Class 1 Load Pilot Vehicles and feature flashing headlights, alternating purple lights in the grill, CB radios to communicate with on coming trucks and purple and orange Category 4 Over-Dimension light bars. Use our services for your Class 1 or Class 2 Load Piloting requirements, or use the experienced team to guide your load to site. We provide hand-held radio communications for all vehicles and can also provide load lighting for night-time travel, to ensure your load is easily seen.
