About Us

Lakeland Contracting is a family-owned Hiab business proudly operating in the Upper Clutha district since 2015, owned and run by Glenn and Kat Templeton.

When Glenn and Kat purchased the company, it was a small, single-truck operation focused on collecting grape bins. Through hard work and dedication, Glenn has grown the business into a trusted local service with two well-equipped Hiab trucks you’ll often see around town.

Over the years, our focus has evolved to supporting our loyal local clients with building materials, container moves, and general Hiab work. That said, our trucks are versatile and capable of handling a wide range of jobs - from moving spa pools and machinery to huts, statues, and trees. While most of our work is local, we’re always happy to travel further afield when needed, with jobs taking us as far as Twizel, Cromwell, Alexandra, Queenstown, and Haast.

Glenn is supported on the ground by our valued team member Maurice, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard. Kat works behind the scenes keeping everything organised and running smoothly, while their boys, Hadley and Mason, are never far away and proudly part of the team spirit.
